Elabered, 5 May 2011 – The inhabitants of Adi-Berbere administrative area, Elabered sub-zone, commended the development programs being implemented in their locality, and voiced determination to back up such endeavors.
In a meeting with the Administrator of Anseba region, Mr. Gergis Girmai, the local inhabitants said that the construction of micro-dam and water reservoirs in the area would encourage them to actively engage in fruits and vegetables farming, and thus achieve food security.
Stressing the need for taking urgent action towards preventing the destruction of forestry and wildlife resources in the area, they also highlighted the need for expanding educational opportunity.
Mr. Gergis called on the inhabitants to regroup themselves in a community so that they may make maximum use of the available social services.
