Inhabitants of Debresina reiterate readiness to reinforce reserve land protection

The inhabitants of Debresina, Elaberid sub-zone, reiterated readiness to step up endeavors towards reinforcing reserve land protection. They explained that the reserve land in their area is making due contribution in ensuring food security.
Elaberid, 21 September 2011 – The inhabitants of Debresina, Elaberid sub-zone, reiterated readiness to step up endeavors towards reinforcing reserve land protection. They explained that the reserve land in their area is making due contribution in ensuring food security.

Mr. Nemariam Tewoldemedihin, one of the inhabitants, said that wildlife in the area is assured of safe haven in the reserve land currently under reliable protection.

The Administrator of Debresina, Mr. Yikealo Asgedom, pointed out that there exist a number of ancient trees in the reserve land, which is in good condition.
