Ministry Education Published new academic books

The Ministry of Education published new academic books for elementary , junior and secondary school students in continuation to the efforts being made by the Ministry to solve the problems in the teaching learning process, according to Mr. Musa Hussen Nayeb, Director General for General Education in the Ministry. Asmara, 22 September 2011- The Ministry of Education published new academic books for elementary , junior and secondary school students in continuation to the efforts being made by the Ministry to solve the problems in the teaching learning process, according to Mr. Musa Hussen Nayeb, Director General for General Education in the Ministry.

He indicated that the books are being distributed for free for elementary and junior school students and with minimal cost for students of secondary schools, and that the new books for secondary level are prepared by teachers in higher education level and other members of the Department of General Education of the Ministry of Education.

Mr. Musa further explained that the books published at a total cost of 136 million Nakfa will assist on reducing the demand of academic books and provision of equitable education in the country. Noting that orientation has been provided to teachers concerning the new books, he pointed out that the curriculum of the country is reviewed every ten years, and called on students to efficiently utilize the books.
