Crops in Molqui, Shambuko and Lailai Gash Sub-zones in good condition

Crops are in good condition in the sub-zones of Molqui, Shambuko and Lailai Gash in particular and Gash-Barka region in general, disclosed Mr. Musa Raba’a, Administrator of the region. Asmara, 27 September 2011- Crops are in good condition in the sub-zones of Molqui, Shambuko and Lailai Gash in particular and Gash-Barka region in general, disclosed Mr. Musa Raba’a, Administrator of the region.

According to the Administrator of Molqui sub-zone, Mr. Kidane Woldselasie, the farming community is exerting vigorous endeavors until the gathering of harvest is finalized.

Meanwhile, reports indicated that crop cultivation on 200 hectares within Shemshemia agricultural project comprises the cultivation of oranges, lemon and the like , as well as oilseeds , peanuts and millet, among others.

Concluding a tour of inspection of crop cultivation in the region, Mr. Musa Raba’a called on farmers to step up their endeavors until harvesting reaches the final stage.
