Massawa, 30 December 2011 – As part of the continuous import of new development machineries towards accelerating the national development pace and render efficient transport service, the third round of import of new machineries and buses has taken place.
Reports indicated that the introduction of the modern machineries and buses would play significant role in on-going endeavors to ensure social justice and economic progress.
These machineries would be deployed in various programs, including the development of infrastructure facilities, construction of dams and bridges, in addition to reinforcing mining activities.
In the interview he conducted with the national media in connection with the New Year, President Isaias explained that substantial investment has been made in the purchase of big machineries and buses so as to develop public transport services, infrastructure and ensure food security as well as strengthen mining activities and construction works, among others.
It is to be recalled that hundreds of modern machineries and vehicles were imported through Massawa Port.
