Tourism Ministry organizes seminars targeting Secondary School students in the Central region Asmara, 28 February 2013 – The Ministry of Tourism’s branch in the Central region has been organizing seminars targeting Secondary School students with a view to raising popular awareness to this end.

The seminar dealt with tourism resources in the country, role of travel agencies, tour guides, community participation in the preservation of relics, environmental hygiene and domestic tourism.

Ms. Elsa Rusom, head of promotion in the branch office, explained that the seminar would have significant impact in promoting student tours to historical and resort sites during vacation time. She further expressed the Ministry’s readiness to collaborate in organizing such tours.

Among students, Nur Abdu, Mikal Hasabaw, Natnael Teklebirhan and Wegahta Kiflai expressed satisfaction with the seminar.
