Women in Melebso Administrative area express readiness to back up national development endeavors

Women residing in Melebso Administrative area, Anseba region, have expressed readiness to back up national development endeavors targeting food security through effective harnessing of natural resources.

Keren, 05 April 2013 – Women residing in Melebso Administrative area, Anseba region, have expressed readiness to back up national development endeavors targeting food security through effective harnessing of natural resources. They further indicated that they are in a position to engage in integrated irrigation farming on the basis of the generator extended by the regional Administration.

Among the exemplary farmers, Ms. Fatina Mahmoud and Ms. Kedija Ibrahim said that they could adequately meet the financial needs of their families, and called on fellow inhabitants to emulate their sense of hard work.

Mr. Mahmoud Ali Saleh, Administrator of Melebso Administrative area, pointed out that there exist around 10,000 women engaged in agricultural activities in the locality, and that those engaged in integrated farming are playing an exemplary role.
