Inhabitants to Gogne sub-zone step up community venture regarding prevention of malaria infection

Reports indicated that the inhabitants of Gogne sub-zone have demonstrated stepped-up community participation in the prevention of malaria infection.

Gogne, 18 September 2013 – Reports indicated that the inhabitants of Gogne sub-zone have demonstrated stepped-up community participation in the prevention of malaria infection.

The inhabitants pointed out that they are engaged in such a joint undertaking with the health center in the locality with a view to avoiding any possibility of morbidity resulting from malaria as the area is adequately dissected by a river.

Among the inhabitants, Mr. Dawood Al-Amin, Mr. Mohammed Adem and Ms. Asha Abdalla stated that instance of the disease has shown visible decline in the area thanks to the stepped-up efforts made by the Ministry of Health to this end and impact of related community undertakings. They further asserted that they would sustain such popular initiative in the future.
