The Administration of the Northern Red Sea region has set up a total of 4 Administrative boards involving technical committees and professionals from various institutions with a view to giving impetus to development ventures on the basis of furthering mutual understanding and complementarity.

Massawa, 20 November 2013 – The Administration of the Northern Red Sea region has set up a total of 4 Administrative boards involving technical committees and professionals from various institutions with a view to giving impetus to development ventures on the basis of furthering mutual understanding and complementarity.

It made the statement at a meeting organized targeting implementation of the plan, during which extensive discussions were conducted pertaining to the organizational structure and work procedures thereof.

Various issues in relation with sports, conservation of cultural and archaeological heritages, social service, as well as awareness-raising political campaigns were discussed in the course of the meeting.

The participants put forth views concerning the need of vesting authority on Area administrators so as to enable them to enforce implementation of directives, in addition to environmental hygiene, tax collection and restoration of art decos, among others.

In closing remarks, the Administrator of the region, Ms. Tsigereda Woldegiorgis, explained that the plan entails coherence, complementarity, accountability and control mechanism, and aims at ensuring satisfactory public service. She also called on government bodies to demonstrate integration in the implementation of the plan.
