The inhabitants of Alebu Administrative area, Haikota sub-zone, said that they would sustain initiative with a view to reinforcing community undertakings.
Haikota, 20 November 2013 – The inhabitants of Alebu Administrative area, Haikota sub-zone, said that they would sustain initiative with a view to reinforcing community undertakings.
Accordingly, the community has been engaged in activities such as soil and water conservation, as well as extending labor support to needy nationals in collaboration with members of the People’s Army, thus making a remarkable impact in raising agricultural output and other development domains. The current undertaking of the inhabitants pertains to construction of fence for the Martyrs Cemetery in the locality.
Among the inhabitants, Mr. Mohammed Sheka, Ms. Asmeret Setey, Ms. Zifan Sahle and Ms. Hawa Mohammed expressed conviction that such community-led ventures have significant contribution in rural development, and lauded the active community participation being witnessed thereof.
Likewise, Mr. Mohammed Mahmoud, Administrator of Alebu area, pointed out that a community virtue and complementarity of this type constitutes a stepping stone to still more gratifying accomplishment.
A member of the People’s Army, Tekleab Asmelash explained that the current task of the community attests to the inhabitants’ readiness to honor the trust of fallen heroes.
