The Administration of Hagaz sub-zone indicated that it could register major development accomplishments in 2013 on the basis of collaboration with communities and members of the People’s Army.

Hagaz, 25 December 2013 – The Administration of Hagaz sub-zone indicated that it could register major development accomplishments in 2013 on the basis of collaboration with communities and members of the People’s Army. It made the remark at an assessment meeting, during which the reports presented demonstrated that the achievements pertain to health and educational service vis-à-vis promoting the qualities of service thereof.

Speaking at the meeting, Ms. Amna Haj, Administrator of the sub-zone, disclosed that the number of school registrations has shown 5% increase in the course of the year, while milk and chick supply of the locality stood at 531,000 and 3,000 liters respectively. Moreover, veterinary service was rendered to more than 10,000 livestock, including vaccination.

Accordingly, the ongoing popular soil and water conservation ventures have borne significant impact, and endeavors made to lay the groundwork for women and needy nationals as well as orphans to improve their livelihood on the basis of livestock production have given rise to remarkable outcome. The putting in place of a dam in Hashferai which is wide enough to reserve over 460,000 cubic meters of water has also enabled a number of communities to meet the demand to this end, as a potable water supply facility has been launched in Ad-Omar area.
