Army Boarding School inaugurated in Assab city

An Army Boarding School which would accommodate students from a division was inaugurated in Assab city in line with the endeavors being made the production capacity of members of the EDF.

 

Assab, 08 May 2014 – An Army Boarding School which would accommodate students from a division was inaugurated in Assab city in line with the endeavors being made the production capacity of members of the EDF.

Speaking on the occasion in which Brig. General Mussa Rab’a, Chief of Staff of the Eastern Command, the Administrator of the Southern Red Sea region, Mr. Gergis Girmai, Mr. Ali Mahmoud,

Administrator of Anseba region, Army Commanders and city residents took part, Lt. Colonel Ogbai Kassa indicated that the tradition of nurturing an army equipped with knowledge and skill-knowhow in emerged in the armed struggle for independence.

He further stated that the current endeavors is in tune with such norm , and disclosed that the putting in place of the boarding school was made possible through internal capacity and collaboration of various institutions as well as individuals. Lt. Colonel Ogbai also lauded the active participation of the EDF members who made a remarkable input in the process tolerating the climatic hardship of the region, and said that they have acquired diversified skill knowhow.

The EDF members expressed satisfaction with the putting in place of the facility, and those who made outstanding contribution in the process received certificates of merit.

The Boarding School entitled “Selam” comprises 6 classrooms, a 10-room dormitory, offices, cafeteria, entertainment area and others.
