Stepped-up preparations being made in Central region with a view to marking 23rd Independence Day anniversary with patriotic fervor
The National Holidays Coordinating Committee in the Central region pointed out that stepped-up preparations are being made with a view to marking the 23rd Independence Day anniversary in a manner that depicts the Eritrean people’s spirit of steadfastness and dedication.
Asmara, 07 May 2014 – The National Holidays Coordinating Committee in the Central region pointed out that stepped-up preparations are being made with a view to marking the 23rd Independence Day anniversary in a manner that depicts the Eritrean people’s spirit of steadfastness and dedication.
Mr. Asmerom Tsegabirhan, Chairman of the committee, disclosed that extensive preparations are being undertaken involving higher artistic creativity, and that forthcoming carnival shows by all sub-zonal Administrations and 43 institutions are expected to portray the Eritrean history, people’s firmness, as well as the prevailing culture of work.
He further indicated that the Eritrean people’s enthusiasm and leading participation in celebrating the momentous Day attests to the way they cherish national independence. Accordingly, more than 200 community-based festivities would be conducted region-wide in connection with the event, while inspired initiatives have been taken to bequeath national values to the young generation.
Mr. Asmerom lauded all those who are making outstanding participation in organizing the event.
