President Isaias leaves for Republic of Sudan for working visit

President Isaias Afwerki left for the Republic of Sudan today for a working visit.

Asmara, 08 May 2014 – President Isaias Afwerki left for the Republic of Sudan today for a working visit.

On arrival in Khartoum city, he was accorded an official reception by President Omar Hassan Ahmed Al-Beshir. Senior Sudanese officials and diplomats were also present at the welcoming ceremony at Khartoum International Airport.

Meanwhile, President Isaias held discussion with President Omar Hassan Al-Beshir focusing on the development of bilateral relations and mutual cooperation. The two sides also discussed enhancement of the economic ties of both countries, besides ensuring peace and stability along the common border.

In the course of his stay, President Isaias would visit various business establishments in the Republic of Sudan.
