Preparations underway in Central region to stage carnival shows in connection with Independence Day anniversary

Reports indicated that preparations are being made in the Central region to stage carnival shows in Asmara city in connection with the 23rd Independence Day anniversary by sub-zonal Administrations and institutions.

Asmara, 15 May 2014 – Reports indicated that preparations are being made in the Central region to stage carnival shows in Asmara city in connection with the 23rd Independence Day anniversary by sub-zonal Administrations and institutions.

Mr. Angesom Sahle from Bidho Construction Company and Mr. Tewolde Mamo, employee of OMO Detergent Factory, said that the show is vital as regards adding color to the momentous event, besides depicting the Eritrean people’s role in the nation-building process and their resistance against external conspiracies.

Mr. Tewolde Yemane and Mr. Tesfa Zerabruk from Sembel and Arbaete-Asmera sub-zones called on fellow nationals to pay due attention to the messages portrayed by the carnival shows which are usually organized through mobilization of remarkable financial budget and labor.

Mr. Girmai Haile, Chairman of the Carnival’s Committee, explained that they have been engaged in deep scrutiny and follow-up of the show with a view to giving it further creativity touch so as to adequately convey the significance of the Day.

Accordingly, a total of 42 institutions and 13 sub-zonal Administrations would take part in the Carnival.
