Inhabitants of Deqi-Gebru and Wara villages engage in construction of dirt road

The inhabitants of Deqi-Gebru and Wara villages, Adi-Tekelezan sub-zone, are engaging in the construction of dirt road linking their villages with the main road through mobilizing financial and labor input.

Adi-Tekelezan, 17 June 2014 – The inhabitants of Deqi-Gebru and Wara villages, Adi-Tekelezan sub-zone, are engaging in the construction of dirt road linking their villages with the main road through mobilizing financial and labor input.

They indicated that the undertaking attests to the higher sprit of collaboration of the community members with natives of the villages residing abroad. They further stated that the road would make significant impact as regards promoting social services in the locality following its finalization.

Mr. Habtai Tesfazghi and Ms. Shashu Gede, members of the villages’ development committee, pointed out that a total of 1million Nakfa has been contributed for the realization of the project.

Mr. Bereket Mihreteab, in charge of follow-up of the project, explained that the road is 7 km. long with 12 meter width and two bridges due to be constructed shortly.
