Eritrean nationals residing in US contribute more than USD 208 thousand and 100 thousand Nakfa to Martyrs Trust Fund

The Ministry of Labor and Human Welfare indicated that Eritrean nationals residing in the USA have contributed a total of USD 208,244 and 100,000 Nakfa to Martyrs Trust Fund with a view to patronizing families of fallen heroes.

Asmara, 18 July 2014 – The Ministry of Labor and Human Welfare indicated that Eritrean nationals residing in the USA have contributed a total of USD 208,244 and 100,000 Nakfa to Martyrs Trust Fund with a view to patronizing families of fallen heroes.

According to the Ministry, the NUEW branch in Charlotte, Eritrean community members in San-Francisco, Los Angeles, Philadelphia and Eritrean mother Volunteers Association in Columbus, as well as a number of citizens raised USD 106,905 to this end.

Moreover, National Associations in Harrisburg, Boston, Indianapolis, Santa- Rosa, Saint louse, Portland, Oakland, Seattle, Dallas, Jacksonville, Grand-Rapid, Atlanta, Minnesota, Houston, Washington DC, and Santiago, in addition to Eritrean community members from Rochester Orthodox Church of Saint Michael and YPFDJ members in Chicago, Minnesota New-York, Moosewood institution, as well as others have contributed a total of 101, 905 USD honoring the trust of fallen heroes.

Meanwhile, 100,000 Nakfa has been extended in this connection by the Family members of Mr. Sium Hagos and his wife Ms. Kidan Werede who reside in the US, while a total of 625 USD was donated by female nationals residing in Beirut, Lebanon.
