Anseba region: Exerting stepped-up efforts described prerequisite for promoting health outreach and raising service quality

The Health Ministry’s branch in Anseba region indicated that exerting stepped-up efforts is a prerequisite for promoting health outreach and raising  the service quality thereof.

Keren, 19 July 2014 – The Health Ministry’s branch in Anseba region indicated that exerting stepped-up efforts is a prerequisite for promoting health outreach and raising  the service quality thereof. It made the remark at an assessment meeting which was conducted in Keren involving stakeholders, during which the issues of institutional excellence, improvement of service quality, prevention of diseases entailing mortality and maternal, as well as child mortality were scrutinized.

Speaking at the meeting, Dr. Kesete-Birhan Solomon, head of the branch office, pointed out that the endeavors being made by the health institutions with a view to promoting communal wellbeing have favored achievement of the Millennium Goals. He further called for sustained endeavors targeting control of communicable and non-communicable diseases, besides child immunization.

Mr. Abdulahi Al-Amin Tita, Director General of social service in Anseba region, indicated that mobile health stations  are due to be put in place in remote areas characterized by a relatively higher population  size.

Likewise, Mr. Ali Mahmud, Administrator of the region, stated that instances of health problems could be reduced thanks to the efforts put up to this end, and asserted the Administration’s readiness to step up collaboration with the Ministry .
