The Eritrean people have welcomed the New Year in a spirit of optimism and resolve to put up effort for still more gratifying output.

Asmara, 01 January 2015 – The Eritrean people have welcomed the New Year in a spirit of optimism and resolve to put up effort for still more gratifying output.

Citizens who attended entertainment programs and gatherings in different areas of Asmara city yesterday said that they were pleased with the spirit of closeness and the prevailing peace. They further pointed out that New Year is an occasion for reiterating readiness to reinforce activities pertaining to the nation-building objective.

Mr. Abdalla Mahmoud, a Sudanese national, and Mr. Simone Salbuci from Italy, both of whom came here to spend their New Year vacation along with their families, said that Eritrea is a country where peace and security prevails, and wished the Eritrean people Happy New Year.
