Preparations underway in Massawa in connection with commemoration of Silver Jubilee of Operation Fenkil
The Administrator of the Northern Red Sea region, Ms. Tsegereda Woldegergis, said that extensive preparations are being made for the commemoration of the Silver Jubilee of Operation Fenkil due to take place under the theme “ Fenkil: Harbinger of Total Liberation.”
Massawa, 14 January 2015 – The Administrator of the Northern Red Sea region, Ms. Tsegereda Woldegergis, said that extensive preparations are being made for the commemoration of the Silver Jubilee of Operation Fenkil due to take place under the theme “ Fenkil: Harbinger of Total Liberation.”
In a press statement she gave to the national media outlets, Ms. Tsegereda said that carnivals, camp of struggle, community festivities, documentary films and 
pamphlets, education-related contests, sports competitions, pictorial exhibitions, narration and visit of historic sites, among others, would feature in the course of the event.
The regional Administrator explained that that the event is scheduled to take place next month and that the specific days would be announced shortly through media outlets.
