Administration of Gash-Barka region expresses readiness to exert more effort in development endeavors

The Administration of Gash-Barka region has expressed readiness to implement major development programs through raising revenue.

Barentu, 16 January 2015 – The Administration of Gash-Barka region has expressed readiness to implement major development programs through raising revenue. This was disclosed at a recent assessment meeting in Barentu city.

The regional Administrator, Mr. Fisehaye Haile, noted the significance of enhancing revenue in effective implementation of set goals, and called on the sub-zonal administrations to exert the necessary effort in this regard.

He went on to explain that there are plans to launch educational projects and expressed the Administration’s readiness towards timely finalization of infrastructure projects underway.

The meeting witnessed report of accomplishments of departments, sub-zones, line ministries and Associations. Encouraging outcome has been registered in all domains, including that of agriculture, education, infrastructure and others, the reports indicated.

Mr. Omar Mohammed, Director General of the regional Administration, explained that the regional Administration would give due attention to the requests made by the public  to promote transport service, put in place  potable water supply facilities and  improve management tasks, among others.
