Italian team of Archeologists present documentary film highlighting activities in Adulis

A group of Italian archeologist undertaking archeological discoveries in the ancient port of Adulis, Northern Red Sea region, have presented a documentary film here in the capital highlighting their activities and identification process thereof.

Asmara, 31 January 2015 – A group of Italian archeologist undertaking archeological discoveries in the ancient port of Adulis, Northern Red Sea region, have presented a documentary film here in the capital highlighting their activities and identification process thereof.

The film portrays the nation’s resources and identification achievements to-date, cooperation of village inhabitants of the area and the prevailing close relations of the Archeologists with the community members.

Among the Archeologists, Ms. Serena Massa, said that the program got underway in 2011 and that currently the excavation process is only being carried out on the upper parts of the site. The excavation process would continue in the lower parts of the site, she elaborated.
