Participants of Organization of African Trade Union Unity International symposium commended warm hospitality and appreciate prevailing peace and stability here

The participants of the International symposium and 38th General Council Session of the Organization of African Trade Union Unity commended the warm hospitality accorded them and appreciated the prevailing peace and stability in the country.

Asmara, 26 February 2015 – The participants of the International symposium and 38th General Council Session of the Organization of African Trade Union Unity commended the warm hospitality accorded them and appreciated the prevailing peace and stability in the country.

They also stated that Eritrea’s peace and stability is exemplary and expressed satisfaction with the Eritrean government’s active collaboration in their activities, and they further voiced readiness to portray Eritrea’s correct image following return to their respective countries.

The symposium of the Organization of African Trade Union and the 38th General Council session has been conducted here in Asmara from 23rd to 25th of February.

It was earlier reported that 48 heads of African Trade Unions, representatives of International Labor Organization, representatives from Chinese Workers Federation, three Italian Workers Federation and Turkish Workers Federation have participated. Moreover, heads of the Organization held an interactive meeting with President Isaias Afwerki, focusing on challenges African Workers Organizations are facing.
