The inhabitants of semi-urban Aretay, which is a centre of the Habero sub-zone, disclosed that the town continues to show impressive development with the extension of various social service institutions over the past 19 years through the concerted efforts of people and Government.
Aretay, 9 May 2010 – The inhabitants of semi-urban Aretay, which is a centre of the Habero sub-zone, disclosed that the town continues to show impressive development with the extension of various social service institutions over the past 19 years through the concerted effort of people and Government.
Indicating that they used to lead a nomadic lifestyle, the inhabitants said that they have now been able to settle down and improve their living standard as result of the extended social services and infrastructure facilities made available to them.
The Administrator of Aretay, Mr. Mohammed Idris, said that over 60 business ventures have been established in the town, and the social service institutions including education as well as health institutions are rendering commendable services. Furthermore, the administrator called on the inhabitants to enhance their contribution in the ongoing development programs.
