Renovation of Water Diversion Schemes Underway in Golij Sub-Zone

Renovation of Engulit and Diriesa water reservoirs, as well as expansion of feeder canals are being undertaken in Golij sub-zone with a view to boosting agricultural output, according to Eng. He explained that the necessary machinery and manpower resources are being deployed so as to effectively accomplish the task, and that the Ministry of Agriculture is giving due attention to the undertaking. 

Eng. Dawit further pointed out that the Engulit water diversion scheme has 8 feeder canals, and that additional 3 ones are under construction, besides the renovation of other facilities.

Construction of feeder canals that would run to agricultural sites is also being carried out for Diriesa water diversion schemes, reports added.
