Provision of infrastructure facilities for cultivating fruits in the Highlands reached final stage

Serejeka, 4 January 2012 – A project to put in place infrastructure facilities aimed at promoting the cultivation of fruits in the Highlands of Serejeka sub-zone is nearing finalization, stated Eng. Hiruy Amanual from the Ministry of Agriculture.

He added that holes have been dug for planting fruits in the project site which is being undertaken on 5.5 hectares in Shimanigus Laelai and 11 hectares in adjacent Mekerka.

He said that encouraging outcome has already been achieved in a pilot project previously carried out in Embaderho, and that technical training is offered to individuals employed to oversee the project.
