5th Annual Eri-UK Friendship Forum conducted in London

The Eritrean Embassy in the UK organized the 5th Annual Eri-UK Friendship Forum in London city in connection with the 22nd Independence Day anniversary.

Asmara, 31 May 2013 – The Eritrean Embassy in the UK organized the 5th Annual Eri-UK Friendship Forum in London city in connection with the 22nd Independence Day anniversary.

The Forum reportedly witnessed participation of diplomats, members of various British institutions, investors, professionals with different backgrounds and other honored guests, besides a number of Eritrean nationals residing in the country.

Speaking on the occasion, the Eritrean Ambassador to the UK and Ireland, Mr. Tesfamichael Gerahtu, commended the participants for sharing the spirit of Independence Day celebrations, and gave briefings regarding investment prospects and the progress of socio-economic activities in the Homeland, besides the unjust sanctions imposed on the nation.

A number of friends lauded the prevailing peace in Eritrea, and urged others to visit the country, while presentations were made regarding the ongoing mining activities in the Homeland during the event involving dinner and entertainment.
