Eritrean community members in Dubai and North United Arab Emirates reiterated readiness to honor the trust of martyrs.

Asmara, 21 June 2013 – Eritrean community members in Dubai and North United Arab Emirates reiterated readiness to honor the trust of martyrs. They made the pledge during a ceremony they conducted in connection with Martyrs Day, during which they also expressed readiness to mount participation in State affairs.

Speaking on the occasion, Mr. Yohanes Teklemichael, Eritrean Consul General in Dubai and North UAE, said that nationals should mark the Day in a spirit of pride in memory of the tribute of fallen heroes and on the basis of asserting to live up to the nation’s expectations.

Moreover, Mr. Sium Woldemariam, gave extensive briefings regarding the heroic feats of the Eritrean people, as well as the trying moments endured to this end.

Artistic performances were staged by children and students on the occasion highlighting the weighty sacrifice paid by the Eritrean people for independence.
