Keren city: Families of martyrs rehabilitated on the basis of business accommodations witnessing improvement of livelihood
Families of martyrs in Keren city who were rehabilitated on the basis of business accommodations said that they are witnessing improvement of livelihood and lauded the initiative taken in this regard.
Keren, 21 June 2013 – Families of martyrs in Keren city who were rehabilitated on the basis of business accommodations said that they are witnessing improvement of livelihood and lauded the initiative taken in this regard.
Among the beneficiaries, Ms. Amna Jabir Ali, Mr. Hamd Dirar Hamd and Ms. Asgedet Bekuretsion explained that they could fully support their families, and pointed out that a scheme of this type attests to the Government’s commitment to ensure social justice.
Mr. Yohanes Tesfai from the Municipal Administration of Keren indicated that the program is part of the efforts being exerted as regards improving the livelihood of such families which would continue.
Meanwhile, a total of 15 families of martyrs in various Administrative areas of Agordat sub-zone who were each rehabilitated based on 20,000 Nakfa cash expressed satisfaction with the government’s gesture.
Among the beneficiaries, Ms. Saedia Adem and Ms. Meryem Tita disclosed that they are in a position to improve their families’ financial capabilities, and asserted that they would strive to raise their income taking the support accorded them as a stepping stone.
Ms. Fatina Idris, head of social service in Agordat sub-zone, stated that such efforts would continue.
