The Administration of Ginda sub-zone has called on the inhabitants to extend a helping hand towards preservation of enclosures, especially in the areas around Bizen Monastery.

Ginda, 18 February 2014 – The Administration of Ginda sub-zone has called on the inhabitants to extend a helping hand towards preservation of enclosures, especially in the areas around Bizen Monastery. It made the call during meetings with Area administrators, community elders, religious leaders and community representatives from various areas, during which it was stated that higher popular involvement is a prerequisite as regards combating of deforestation.

Heading the meeting, Mr. Omar Yahiya, Administrator of the sub-zone, urged the participants to play due role to this end, in addition to enhancing participation in national development programs including soil and water conservation as well as afforestation.

The participants of the meeting put forth views focusing on a number of issues.
