Eritrean community members in Kassela and Frankfurt celebrate Independence Day anniversary with patriotic fervor
Reports indicated that the Eritrean community members in the cities of Kassela, Republic of Sudan, and Frankfurt, Germany, celebrated the 23rd Independence Day anniversary with patriotic Fervor.
Asmara, 05 June 2014 – Reports indicated that the Eritrean community members in the cities of Kassela, Republic of Sudan, and Frankfurt, Germany, celebrated the 23rd Independence Day anniversary with patriotic Fervor.
Speaking at the ceremony in Kassela conducted at the city’s stadium witnessed participation of community members, officials of the Sudanese region, community elders and Sudanese friends, Mr. Ibrahim Idris, Executive of Embassy Affairs in the Eritrean embassy, said that the event is an occasion when nationals should reiterate readiness to step up participation in national development programs.
Likewise, Mr. Ahmed Ali, Minister of Social Affairs in Kassela region, expressed the Administration’s readiness to do its level best to strengthen relations between Eritrea and the Sudanese region.He also expressed satisfaction with taking part in the ceremony.
Mr. Ibrahim Fitwi, Chairman of the community, pointed out that the nation could register remarkable development accomplishments rebuffing external conspiracies, and that this attests to the people’s steadfastness.
The event witnessed the staging of cultural performances by Rim Cultural Troupe from the Homeland.
Meanwhile, the Eritrean community members in Frankfurt marked Independence Day in a manner that depicted the steadfastness of the Eritrean people and the prevailing harmony among them.
Speaking on the occasion, Mr. Yohannes Debas, Representative of the Executive of Consular affairs in the Eritrean embassy in Frankfurt, gave briefings regarding the steadfastness and dedication of the Eritrean people in the armed struggle for independence. He further expressed readiness that the nation would achieve its cherished goals thanks to the commitment of the people inside the country and abroad.
