The inhabitants of Haikota sub-zone, Gash-Barka region, are engaged in popular soil and water conservation activities in collaboration with members of the People’s Army with a view to raising agricultural output.
Haikota, 06 June 2014 – The inhabitants of Haikota sub-zone, Gash-Barka region, are engaged in popular soil and water conservation activities in collaboration with members of the People’s Army with a view to raising agricultural output.
They indicated that the popular venture is scheduled twice a week, and that higher communal participation is being witnessed in the process.
Mr. Aklilu Elias, soil and water conservation expert in the locality, pointed out that similar activities are underway in other four Administrative areas of the sub-zone.
