Veteran Fighter Col. Bereket Tesfatsion passes away

Veteran Fighter Col. Bereket Tesfatsion (Welo) passed away today at Air Force Hospital after being under medical treatment inside the country and abroad.

Asmara, 04 July 2014 – Veteran Fighter Col. Bereket Tesfatsion (Welo) passed away today at Air Force Hospital after being under medical treatment inside the country and abroad.

Col. Bereket joined the Popular Forces in 1974, and served in various capacities ranging from a member of the rank-and-file to Division Commander proving high sense of dedication for the people and the country.

The late Col. Bereket is married and father of 7.

His funeral service would be conducted tomorrow at Asmara Patriots Cemetery.
